Illuminate
Illuminate is 30 days of encouragement, faith, and reflection, resting in that God is always with us, guiding us through even the smallest moments, much like how a single word, verse, or thought can illuminate our path. Through daily messages, scripture, and affirmations, they are reminders that you are deeply loved, seen, and never alone in your journey.
God will validate your life in the clear light of day.
Psalm 37:6 (MSG)
How It Works
God is always near—guiding, speaking, and leaving reminders of His presence in our daily lives.
For 30 days, you’ll receive a thoughtful message either through an encouraging word, a quote, or a moment of reflection to your email.
Please note, this isn’t about spam or cluttering your inbox. If a message resonates, hold onto it. Maybe a word or the photo will spur curiosity or show up throughout your day. But mostly, stay curious. And if the message doesn’t resonate, just delete it and move forward knowing you are loved.

What Illuminate Is & What It Isn’t
What this is:
Illuminate is an invitation.
It’s a posture of curiosity, of abundant white space slowly filling with curiosity, and staying open to what God is speaking in your life even in the smallest, quietest moments.
It’s about being be present, to love others well, and to share the gospel in a way that makes people pause and lean in with wonder.
This is for the curious, the ones walking through everyday life who seek reminders of truth, beauty, and belonging.
What this isn’t:
Illuminate is not meant to be a collection of bite-sized quotes or feel-good phrases that ignore the depth and cost of the gospel.
It’s not about checking a box, performing faith for others, or diluting God’s Word into a motivational slogan.
The Story Behind Illuminate
On the eve of my son’s 10th birthday and just a few days shy of my 39th, I found myself reflecting on time; the way it passes, the way it shapes us, and the way words, once spoken or written, can transcend it.
That night in my journal I wrote about the power of the written word—how a simple conversation, a single thought, or a moment of reflection can ripple beyond its origin, sometimes reaching hearts long after we’re gone. There’s something sacred about that, something that reminds me of how God moves, not in ways that are random or unexpected, but in ways that are present and intentional.
The next morning, I opened my YouVersion Bible app and started reading a “random”, new devotional by Annie David. In the second paragraph, I read the words transcended time. It was the phrase I had written the night before.
It wasn’t coincidence. It was confirmation.
God doesn’t just show up in unexpected ways… He is always with us.
Annie David also wrote,
Jesus’ teachings and actions were a testament to His purpose—guiding people towards a deeper connection with the divine.
That’s the heart of this: to draw closer to God, to notice the ways He is near, and to strengthen our faith through daily encouragement.
And so, with my boys playing in the background, the smell of freshly brewed coffee filling our home, and the joy of celebrating Saul in now double digits, I felt a nudge: What if I created 30 days of encouragement?
The words shared in these days are drawn from the pages of my journals—quiet moments spent in the presence of God. They are my simple altars marking where He met me with grace, adventure, and truth.
Perhaps, as you read, these reflections will become breadcrumbs for you too—small, sacred reminders that God is near. Maybe they will guide you into reflection, renew your spirit, deepen your faith, or simply remind you that you are seen, known, and deeply loved.
A Note From The Writer:
The words you’ll read over the next thirty days are drawn from my journals, quiet spaces carved out in the middle of everyday life in the midst of raising three young boys. These moments with God weren’t curated or neatly scheduled, but tucked into early mornings, late nights, and the in-between. What you’ll find here isn’t polished writing or packaged devotionals, but pieces of honest reflections born out of listening, waiting, wrestling, and receiving.
You’ll find that my faith is anchored in Jesus Christ. A faith that welcomes awe, seeks answers, and makes room for complexity. I want to sit before the face of the Lord and expand into the wonder of Him. If a faith in Jesus Christ is not where your faith rests, I hope you know you are beyond welcome and hope that you’ll still find something here—love, adventure, and trust.
And yet, I share this work with hesitation. These are my personal reflections and I offer them in humility, aware they come from my own ongoing process of seeking, trusting, and becoming. Places where I’ve remembered who He is. And where I’ve remembered whose I am.
Maybe some of these words will land for you.
Maybe they’ll spark a thought or offer a bit of clarity.
Maybe they’ll simply remind you that you are seen, known, and deeply loved.
This is simply a faithful offering,
and maybe, a light to illuminate your path.
With love,
Jessi
